Metros fall to Sundogs

The Orlando Sundogs got goals from Tommy Wurdack, John Smith and Sebastian Barnes to beat the Nashville Metros 3-0 last night before a Citrus Bowl crowd of 1,000.

“The better team won tonight,” coach Greg Petersen said. It was the second straight loss for the Metros, now 4-5. Orlando is 4-6 and leading the Central Division of the A-League’s Western Conference. Nashville returns home to face Atlanta on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Columbia Soccer Stadium.
