Mitchell powers Metros

Jamel Mitchell came off the bench in the second half to score three goals in leading the Nashville Metros 5-1 past New Orleans 5-1 last night in an A-League match in New Orleans.

[Maurat] Dahlal and Luis [Berbari] also scored for the Metros. [Stern John] scored for New Orleans.

The Metros improved to 15-10 in the victory over the Central Division leaders (15-9) and avenged a 4-3 shootout loss to New Orleans on Thursday. The victory also snapped a string of three straight road losses.

The Metros will play Friday at Atlanta before returning home Saturday against Orlando.
