The Nashville Diamonds were the Music City’s first-ever professional soccer team. Playing in multiple stadiums around Nashville, they completed one full professional season in 1982 before folding. Beginning on the campus of Tennessee State University and later in Brentwood, the team planted the seeds that would later become the Nashville Metros. In a design taken straight from the program cover of the Diamonds’ first-ever match, this t-shirt honors 40 years of professional soccer in the city of Nashville. This high-quality, super-soft, tri-blend shirt was printed by the city’s own Grand Palace Silkscreen printing, located within earshot of the new Nashville soccer stadium at the Fairgrounds.
